Building A "Neighborhood"

Sometimes you can build a neighborhood by connecting to the people around you - this Saturday - we are connecting with our new neighbors just a few blocks north of us - Avenue Barket - and The Corner Market - to create a fun event - The Dog Days Of Summer.

We are looking forward to meeting more our neighbors on Saturday and their four-legged friends, too.

Come see our new look - we have added a wooden awning out front this week and have repainted the front of the studio a bright white - and while you probably won't notice it, we have removed the Ole Moon awning that was mounted to the top of the building.

However, since we believe in re-purposing - we have donated the Ole Moon awning, with the logo, to the Promise of Peace Community Garden to use as their awning for an outdoor theater which is being constructed as a community project and will be named the Ole Moon Theater. An East Dallas icon has a second life!

Our Look is About To Change

For years, people have driven by the Ole Moon with it's burgundy canopy and logo overhead. When we took over the space, we 'rolled up' the canopy to hide the logo so we have our name on the building. The time has finally come for us to take the canopy down and replace it with our own canopy.

We are donating the Ole Moon canopy to the Promise of Peace Community Garden on Gaston Ave and they are going to use it as the front of the stage they are building - which will become the Ole Moon Theater. An icon of East Dallas will have a new life in a new space.

Watch for a posting next week with our 'new look' or better yet - come see it!
