The Best Gift of All

This past Christmas, my two daughters surprised me with a wonderful – and very thoughtful – gift, a horseshoe. And for many dads this may not seem like such a special gift but for me it has a very special meaning. A few years ago, I read a book titled, Lucky or Smart – which I have quoted from many times. The book is now out of print but the main message of the book is to be smart enough to know when you are lucky – and I am very lucky to have two very special daughters. The reason they wanted me to have the horseshoe was to hang it above the front door of our new shop – for good luck. They wrote a special message on the back that I will treasure forever.
